![]() :)Īs sort of a side-question as well, if they skull is upright, how is the jaw being held open? Without muscle and other tissues, wouldn't the jaw be closed? There's much more to it beyond a couple skeletons as I'm sure you've noticed. I'm ok with how the log river is currently. It's one of those thing we will never know. ![]() It may not be so much that it was hard, maybe someone else came forward with art that is like what we have now and they went with that design. I understand that there are limitations, but could the model from the art have been THAT hard to make? Seeing everything else they've done, I don't think so, but I understand if their focus was elsewhere. It looks great it has great atmosphere, but the concept art looked so much better. We may never kno0o0o0o0ow *que x-files music*Įither way, I was a little disappointed in the Lost River. Or, mayhaps the precursor also messed with this corpse and placed its head right side up. Or upon the creature death he landed awkwardly. The ligaments holding the spine to the rib cage either rotted away or they were eaten and I like to think the spine just fell through. They are meant to be read about but not actually seen ( at least thats how I took it).Ģ.) I always viewed it as though the spine probably fell through from its own weight. Publicado originalmente por Lucki:1.) The cuts are a lore aspect, something the precursors did while studying the bones and taking samples. (Can I just say that, in my opinion, if it was a design choice, then I think it was a poorly made choice as the concept art's position seems much more appealing, but, again, that's just me.) I tried looking on the Trello and around the web and didn't see any metion of changing that, so I just wanted to ask. ![]() ![]() In game, however, the skull is rightside-up, but the ribcage is obviously upside-down as it opens outwards and the spinal column is not visible as it should be. Why is the ribcage of the giant skeleton upside-down? Looking at the concept art for the lost river, the ribcage is rightside up and shows off some very interesting details such as massive spikes along the spine. Was the wiki wrong or am I just not looking in the right place?Ģ. Where are the cuts on the ribcage of the giant skeleton? I read part of the Subnautica wiki that told me that there were angular cuts on the ribcage of the giant skeleton, but no matter how many pictures I look at, no matter how many videos I watch, no matter how many times I visit it myself, I cannot find these cuts. The concept art of it is what drew me to Subnautica, after all. These have been eating away at me for a while now and I was wondering what you guys thought or knew about them. ![]()
